Pinch - Hitter - Training

Requirements

and documents for the registration to the pinch-hitter-course:

·         Minimum age 16 years

·         Approval of the legal representative for minor applicants

·         Aeromedical certificate of fitness (class II) *

·         Application of reliability-check **

·         Receipt application criminal record document type "O"
( Direct forwarding to the authority) 

·         Excerpt from Central Card-Index for Traffic Offenses **

·         Certificate cardiac life support or first aid

·         Copy of identity card or passport

·         2 passport photographs

The course consists of a theoretical and practical part:

The theoretical part deals with the most important basics, the basics you need to understand and use the flight instruments, navigation- and radio equipment.

If, during or after the course, you decide to acquire the private pilot license (PPL(H)), the already performed training will be credited. Therefore the pinch-hitter training is a good way to access helicopter flying without liabilities.

The theory training takes place in 12 lessons and comprises the following subjects:

·         General Aircraft Knwodledge

·         Navigation

·         Operational Procedures

·         Principles of Flight

Course of the practical training

The practical flight training begins parallel tot he theoretical training, and in about 10 flying hours you learn to fly a helicopter.

IIn the practical part we convey:

·         Interaction of the controls

·         Hover exercises

·         Level flight

·         Climb- and Descent-flights

·         Performance of a landing approach

For the Pinch – Hitter – training, the following helicopter types are available:

·         Schweizer 300

·         Robinson R44

·         Eurocopter EC120
